About Chow Down In Your Town
The President and founder of Chow down In Your Town is Joseph Andrew Harsh. Mr. Harsh is married and the proud father of 3 children. Mr. Harsh grew up in Centreville, Va. and attended Chantilly High School (Class of 89’). He lives in Fairfax City and owns a small business in Manassas, Va. (Hot Tubs and Pool Tables Outlet) founded in 2003.
In 2009 a couple of small business owners were discussing the difficulties of marketing and advertising for their locally owned businesses. Everybody agreed you had to advertise but were worried about the cost of making the wrong choice. They all wanted to know what the most effective advertising is.
How do we communicate our great local restaurants to our customer’s? The consensus was a locally focused, repetitive and direct marketing strategy. The problem was all the possible choices were extremely expensive and had no guarantees of success. Luckily one of the local business owners was Joseph Harsh.
Chow Down was born. Now customers can join a web platform and receive great specials from all their great local restaurants in their community. The customers get the best deals and the restaurants have no risk advertising eliminating waste. All Joe had to do was produce the platform, coordinate with the local restaurants, and promote the site to each individual community.
